As of August 2018, there are 570,000 international students residing in Canada. This number has increased by 60% compared to 3 years ago. The majority of these students have completed their high school studies in Canada and then apply for a study visa extension to complete post-secondary education. 67% of international students end up studying in Ontario and 21% in British Columbia.
